For the 20th consecutive year, A.M. Best affirmed an ‘A’ (Excellent) financial strength rating for the American Family Insurance group, which includes Main Street America, American Family, The General, Homesite, and CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance. 

The ‘A’ rating reflects A.M. Best’s opinion of an insurer’s ability to meet its ongoing insurance policy and contract obligations. The rating also reflects operating performance, balance sheet strength, favorable business profile, and appropriate risk management.

For the fifth year in a row, A.M. Best also affirmed the company’s ‘a+’ issuer credit rating reflecting their opinion of an insurer’s ability to meet its ongoing financial obligations.
