The Main Street America Group Inducts Four Employees into its Circle of Excellence

Recipients Receive Company’s Highest Honor

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 12, 2018 -- The Main Street America Group has recognized four employees with the company’s highest honor when they were inducted into its prestigious Circle of Excellence at a recent ceremony at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

This year’s Circle of Excellence honorees are:
Mary Graves, commercial lines underwriting manager, Keene, N.H.
Bill Proulx, claims field unit manager, Auburn, Mass.
Enrique Ramirez, technology architect, Jacksonville, Fla.
Janet Roy, agency service representative, Keene, N.H.

It’s not “what” we do every day to meet the needs of our customers – but “how” we do it,” said Tom Van Berkel, Main Street America’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Mary, Bill, Enrique and Janet live ‘The MSA Experience’ daily by taking care of our customers better than anyone else. They truly went above and beyond in 2017 and they represent our organization in an extraordinary way.”

The diverse group of winners was selected for their individual accomplishments and significant contributions to the company’s 2017 performance, including ending the year with a surplus (capital) of $1.09 billion. The company also had net premium growth of 13.5 percent and produced record investment returns of $110.9 million.

Established in 1985, Main Street America’s Circle of Excellence is an annual recognition program for employees of the super-regional property/casualty insurance carrier. Circle of Excellence members are nominated by fellow employees and selected by the company’s senior management team for their embodiment of the organization’s core values of ownership, relationships and service. Nearly 250 employees have been inducted into Main Street America’s Circle of Excellence since its founding.
