The Main Street America Group Inducts Four Employees into its Circle of Excellence (2017)

Recipients Receive Company’s Highest Honor

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.

The Main Street America Group recognized four of its employees with the company’s highest honor when they were inducted into Main Street America’s prestigious Circle of Excellence at a recent ceremony held at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

This year’s Main Street America Circle of Excellence honorees are:

Jana Blake, operations specialist, integrated customer solutions, Keene, N.H.

Mike Moshier, facilities services coordinator, administrative services, Syracuse, N.Y.

Joe Pelkey, underwriting supervisor, commercial lines product, Keene, N.H.

Martha Silander, surety development specialist, bonds product, Keene. N.H.

“We recognized Jana, Mike, Joe and Martha for their dedication to Main Street America’s mission of taking care of our independent insurance agent-customers better than anyone else in the marketplace,” said Tom Van Berkel, Main Street America’s chairman and chief executive officer. “They truly went above and beyond throughout 2016 and they represented our organization in an exceptional way.”

The diverse group of winners was selected for their individual accomplishments and significant contributions to the company’s 2016 performance, which featured top-line growth of 10.2 percent and the most net written premium (sales) in the company’s 93-year history: $1.07 billion. Other Main Street America financial highlights from 2016 included a surplus (capital) increase of $27 million to $1.1 billion and total asset growth of 5.6 percent to $2.6 billion.

Established in 1985, Main Street America’s Circle of Excellence is an annual recognition program for employees of the super-regional property/casualty insurance carrier.
