The Main Street America Group has announced the promotion of Jerry Waters, CPA, to vice president and chief accounting officer, effective immediately.
Waters, based in Keene, N.H., joined the super-regional property/casualty insurance carrier in 2010. Since that time, he has held positions of increasing responsibility within the Company’s financial reporting and controls organization, most recently as director of corporate accounting. He will continue to be responsible for accounting and tax planning functions for the company.
“Jerry has developed trusted relationships throughout our company and has done an outstanding job, and we are pleased to promote and appoint him as our chief accounting officer,” said senior vice president Tom Frazier, Main Street America’s treasurer. “With nearly 25 years of industry experience, his technical expertise complements our financial leadership team.”
Prior to joining Main Street America, Waters served as a reinsurance accounting manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. A Certified Public Accountant, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode lsland.
